Adobo Velo in Action: Supporting Less Privileged Kids in DRT!

Adobo Velo just wrapped up an incredible community outreach in Bulacan! Today, despite the non-stop rain and bad weather, we traveled to the upland areas of Doña Remedios Trinidad to turn over our donations.This marks a major milestone for us as the very first project of this kind for Adobo Velo!
We are so proud that this pioneer initiative reached Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) under DepEd's Last Mile Schools Program, specifically supporting the aspiring students of Kalawakan Elementary School and Kalayakan Elementary School! More than the bicycles and supplies, this generous gesture carries something even more valuable—hope, opportunity, and the assurance that our learners have a community that believes in their dreams. For children who face challenges in getting to school, a bicycle can mean a shorter journey, better access to education, and one less barrier between them and their dreams.
Thanks to our amazing members and generous sponsors, we successfully delivered 24 brand-new bicycles plus helmets & taillights, 100 umbrellas, and essential safety and rainy weather supplies—including rain boots and raincoats to these underserved learners. Given the challenging mountain terrain, difficult muddy roads, and heavy rains that these students face daily, ensuring they have a safer, visible, and dry commute means everything to our club.Seeing the kids' faces light up as they received their shiny new sets of wheels and stormy-weather gear made every single bit of effort completely worth it.
Our goal for this inaugural project is to ensure these deserving students can travel to school safely, comfortably, and dry, no matter what the weather throws at them.This is just the beginning. Moving forward, we hope to repeat this initiative at least every year, bringing support directly to schools and communities where our help is needed most.
A massive thank you to everyone who donated, assembled the bikes, and supported us to make this historic first event happen. You are helping pedal our community forward!
